Shri V.P.R. College of Education was started by Shri V.P.R. Educational society on Jan 2006 is recognized by NCTE and affiliated by Tamilnadu Teachers Educational University. Our Institution is committed to produce eminent teacherswith rich philosophical value to meet special requirement of Secondary and Higher Secondary students and to undertake extra mural studies, extension programme and field outreach activities to contribute the development of the society.

Objective of our Institution :
Our resources training enable student teachers to achieve the followng objectives.

  • To imbibe knowledge and develop an understanding of the various methods and approaches of organizing learning experiences of secondary school students.
  • To developskills required in selecting and organizing learing experiences.
  • To understand the nature of the learning process.
  • To develop skills involved in dealing with the academic and personal problems of learners.
  • To acquire knowledge and develop an understaning of the various procedures and techniques of evaluation and their classroom applications.
  • To develop skills involved in selecting, developing and used evaluation tools.
  • To acquire knowledge and develop an understanding of various aspects of school management.
  • To develop competencies for organizing various instructional and student support activities.
  • To develop an appreciation of the role of the teacher in the prevailing socio - cultural and political system in general and the educational system in particular.
